Humans of Crisp: Ayla
Ayla has been a team member with the Crisp Family almost since the beginning, joining the team just over three years ago. Back then Crisp only had one Store located in Goldsbrough Lane with the second store awaiting to be opened in Southern Cross Lane. She has watched us grow as a business and been there as our Crisp community grows with it, so let’s learn a little bit about Ayla who has been such an integral part of the journey.
What are your Hobbies outside of crisp?
I watch a lot of Anime in my free time and channel my creativity into writing and crocheting.
Do you have any ambitions for the future, a dream job or aspiration?
I hope to after completing my certificate III in pathology collection to work in that field. Ultimately I would like to end up at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
Do you like to travel, where would you love to go next?
I am saving up for my first overseas experience; I hope to do a month long trip around North America starting in Hawaii then doing a cruise through Canada before ending it at Universal Studios in Florida.
If you had to name just one Favourite Food, what would it be? And. What is your go to creation at Crisp?
Watermelon. Its just so…watermelon. I have an obscure range of food allergies so I love to make my own at Crisp. It is either a combination of mixed leaf, bacon, corn, beetroot, egg, onion and croutons with Caesar dressing. Or, a half Rice, half Rocket base with bacon, egg, onion and parmesan. It really depends on the weather. (We agree, rice is so popular coming into these colder months- give it a try in your regular go-to creation.)
You’ve been part of the crisp team just over three years now, what have you loved about working with Crisp and watching the company grow?
I love the flexibility of the menu to begin with, as I was originally a customer before I became an employee. But now I love the culture at Crisp, management is so respectful to all our circumstances and schedules with University. I feel very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful and vibrant group of people.
