Our top things to do in Melbourne this September.

With the first day of September here, it’s time to say goodbye to Winter and say hello to Spring, which means a whole new list of great things to do in Melbourne. It’s time to dust off those cob webs, those winter blues and start to enjoy longer days and more time in the sunshine.

We must admit in Melbourne, there is definitely not going to be an instant improvement of weather, (often the first week of Spring is horribly cold) but slowly and surely, the sun begins to appear for longer and the days start to stretch out so you can make the most of your weekends. September is a great month in Melbourne with heaps of great activities across the city and outer regions. The big events of course are the start of the racing season, as well as Grand Final Day, but if horse racing or football aren’t really your thing, then there are still so many things to do in the City. With grand final fever taking over Melbourne, it’s a great atmosphere to delve into the city, soak up the excitement and explore for the day, or even perhaps escape the city for a weekend retreat while the rest of the state stays city bound during that weekend.
