Humans of Crisp: Samantha Pereira

Sam has been an amazing part of our Crisp Family for just under a year. With a flare for creativity, she is passionate about art and is an absolute talent in singing, among a wide array of other things. Read on, to get to know more about Sam.

Aside from singing, what other creative passions do you pursue?

I play guitar too, and perform at events.And, I love to paint! I am really passionate about art. I did a degree in communication design and majored in Advertising, so I also do freelance graphic design. I dance and occasionally like going for a skate/surf. (We have a clear jack-of-all-trades, a Super Talent!)

Do you wish to pursue a career in a creative field?

Hopefully work in Advertising. Write songs and be well travelled.

You mention to be well travelled, what do you love about travel?

Travel is awesome. It opens your eyes to a lot of things and cultures. Coming to Melbourne by myself 3 years ago was an adventure, quite happy to call it my second home now. Would love to sing in New Orleans someday – all that soul music is my jam.

What is your favourite travel destination?

I could list a million destinations on my bucket-list but my favourite destination would still be home – Malaysia. Because it reminds me of who I am.

What is your favourite food?

Nasi lemak, it’s amazing. At Crisp it would tie between the Pulled Pork Tortilla and the Italian Meatballs Warm Bowl.
